My research comprises experimental verification of the effects of delay on dynamic system stability and control. DC motors with encoders are used as test systems to introduce and investigate control algorithms, which are developed using an I/O programming package (i.e. Simulink). Control theory for multiple coupled dynamic systems involves solving matrices of differential equations which contain the system parameters and desired controller gains. Successful results will allow for the demonstration of the effects of delays, and lead to strategies which can be employed in the control of large-scale systems. It will be shown from the theory that a large number of systems can be coupled and controlled with stability, given that the delay is below a calculated threshold.


I am currently completing my Bachelorʼs and Masterʼs degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University. When there is free time, some of my favorite things to do are going snowboarding, working on my car, and playing the guitar!
