CDM has a long-time established relationship with NU and we have a CDM-endowment chair professor position at our department (Prof. Vladimir Novotny). Mr. Howard serves as CDM’s Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. Mr. Howard, who is alum of NU, has always been an enthusiastic and loyal supporter and sponsor for our Civil and Environmental Engineering department.Mr. Howard in 2006 won the most accomplished alumni award, for his great accomplishment in the environmental profession.

Our environmental program is at its new stage of transitioning into a more comprehensive interdisciplinary program; in order to help our Environmental Program taking off and foster its growth, Mr.and Ms Howard has donated their personal funds together with the CDM funds to form this scholarship.
