To UTSR university contacts,

The US Department of Energy is pleased to announce the 2011 Gas turbine Industrial Fellowship Program, which is part of the DOE-funded University Turbine Systems Research (UTSR) Program. The Fellowship Program provides undergraduate and graduate level science and engineering students with the opportunity to conduct research, engineering and design projects at leading gas turbine industry sponsors. Under the guidance of industry experts, selected students will complete a 10-12 week summer project in a variety of areas that include heat transfer, aerodynamics, combustion, thermodynamics, advanced materials and coatings, design, manufacturing or test and evaluation.

Starting this year the Southwest Research Institute will be the primary point of contact for the program. For details and the application form, see the SwRI website http://www.swri.org/UTSR/default.htm .

We hope that you to encourage your students to apply for this attractive opportunity.
