People and Technologies that Change People's Lives Conference - Design Competition 2011

On October 23rd 2011, the Hynes Convention Center in Boston hosted the Conference and Expo on Assistive Technologies (www.changepeopleslives.org). One of our lab members entered the Design Competition with his Ph.D. Thesis Project. This project is focused on helping users with various physical disabilities to overcome the accessibility issues they encounter when trying to use the conventional computer interface. As a result, Jeffrey Breugelmans has been developing a novel interface system that can overcome such issues, and enable these user in interacting with a Virtual Environment. Out of sixteen contestants, Jeffrey received an Honorable Mention (4th place).
