She is a recipient of a number of research awards, including a NSF CAREER award and a NSERC UFA (University Faculty Award). She has published over 100 technical articles in referred journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. Her area of expertise includes: intelligent human-machine systems, non-intrusive sensors and smart sensing systems, multimodality information fusion, human state detection, human machine interface design, human friendly <span class=SpellE>mechatronics</span>, and applications in transportation safety and healthcare telemedicine.
